Dr. Ruijuan Zheng has a systematic work in the genetic susceptibility of tuberculosis and the immunological pathogenesis of tuberculosis. Using candidate gene strategy and genome-wide association analysis strategy, her team has identified many susceptibility genes of tuberculosis in Chinese Han populations. On this basis, they also conduct research on pathogenesis of tuberculosis and host directed therapy for tuberculosis. Dr. Ruijuan Zheng has undertaken many projects supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, Science and Technology Commission of Shanghai Municipality and so on. She has published more than 30 research papers on domestic and international journals including Nature Commun and J Infect Dis. She also obtained 2 invention patents and edited three books on Tuberculosis.
