He is currently the vice chairman of the Radiology Branch of the Chinese Medical Association, the vice chairman of the Chinese Medical imaging AI Industry University Research and Use Innovation Alliance, the chairman of the Respiratory Group of the 5th Committee of the Radiologists Branch of the Chinese Medical Doctor Association, the vice chairman of the Medical imaging and Artificial Intelligence Professional Committee of the Chinese Research Hospital Association, and the vice chairman of the Radiology Professional Committee of the Chinese Research Hospital Association, Vice chairman of the Imaging Medicine Branch of China Healthcare International Exchange Promotion Association, vice chairman of the Health Big data and Digital Medicine Branch of China Healthcare International Exchange Promotion Association, vice chairman of the Magnetic Resonance Imaging Application Professional Committee of China Medical Equipment Association, member of the Expert Committee of the National Radiological Imaging Professional Medical Quality Control Center, and former chairman of the Radiology Branch of Shanghai Medical Association, editor in chief of Journal of Interventional Medicine, deputy editor in chief of China Medical imaging Technology Journal, and editorial board member of 11 professional journals including China Medical Journal.

国家科技部重点研发项目数字诊疗装备研发重点专项首席科学家，以项目负责人获国家自然科学基金重点、重大及面上项目9项，上海市重大、重点研究项目17项。获中华医学奖、教育部科技进步一等奖、教育部科技进步二等奖、上海市科技进步一等奖、上海医学科技二等奖、军队医疗成果奖二等奖等省部级科技进步奖共计19项。以第一作者或通讯作者发表科技论文627篇，其中SCI论文125篇。主编著作12部、副主编著作17部。

He once served as the Chief Scientist of the Key Research and Development Project for Digital Diagnosis and Treatment Equipment of the Ministry of Science and Technology of the People's Republic of China. He has received 9 key, major, and general projects by the National Natural Science Foundation of China and 17 major and key research projects in Shanghai as the project leader. In addition, he has been awarded a total of 19 provincial and ministerial level science and technology progress awards, including the Chinese Medical Award, the First Prize of Science and Technology Progress of the Ministry of Education, the Second Prize of Science and Technology Progress of the Ministry of Education, the First Prize of Science and Technology Progress of Shanghai, the Second Prize of Shanghai Medical Science and Technology, and the Second Prize of Military Medical Achievement Award. Prof. Wang has published 627 papers worldwide including 125 SCI papers, 12 books as chief editor and 17 books as deputy chief editor.
